PFC is used, among other things, as a rain protection coating, as they have water, dirt and grease repellent properties.
Instead, deuter now uses DWR (Durable Water Repellency) impregnation which is harmless to health and the environment.

Woven from 600 denier polyester yarn and with a thick PU coating, this lightweight, ripstop material is extremely versatile. When it comes to reducing the weight of the backpack as much as possible with moderate stress, this is the ideal solution. The “deuter Super Polytex BS” version is manufactured in accordance with the strict bluesign® standard. The characteristics and stressors are identical.
PA from 210 D
We use this durable polyamide fabric in 420 and 210 denier versions. The fabric is extremely resistant to abrasion, thanks to the extraordinarily high density of the weave. This high-quality material is used for the Guide backpacks, for the Futura series and for the Travel series models. It is characterized by fine texture and technical appearance. PU coated.
