Multipurpose ice ax for technical mountaineering and ice climbing
QUARK is a multipurpose ice ax intended for technical mountaineering and ice climbing. Its balance and the ICE blade allow the creation of safe anchors on any type of ice. The TRIGREST and GRIPREST supports make it easy to handle and comfortable in all situations. They allow a more effective grip of the handle for difficult passages. Entirely modular, the QUARK ice ax easily adapts to technical and varied itineraries: snow gullies, gullies, north faces, ice falls.
 
Description
Multipurpose ice ax:
- curved handle under the head and GRIPREST QUARK support in the lower part of the handle to protect the hands on ice falls
- sufficiently straight handle with a steel tip for use as a stick ice ax
- hydroformed handle for optimal grip in the center of the handle in snow gullies
- overmolded and bi-material handle for excellent grip and perfect insulation from the cold,
- supports TRIGREST QUARK and GRIPREST QUARK to improve grip in difficult passages
- 550 g with PANNE or MARTEAU.





Effectiveness of anchoring on any type of ice:
- ICE blade refined at the tip (3.3 mm) and versatile on all terrains: snow, ice and mixed,
- compatible with MASSELOTTES to modify the balance of the ice ax and improve inertia.

Complete modularity, thanks to the ALPEN ADAPT system:
- fully modular head to adapt the technicality of the ice ax,
- interchangeability of ICE, PUR'ICE, DRY and PUR'DRY blades to adapt to different climbing solutions (snow, ice or mixed),
- interchangeable shovel and hammer,
- TRIGREST QUARK support adjustable in height without tools,
- GRIPREST QUARK support easily foldable to plant the ice ax in the snow
- connection hole compatible with the V-LINK extensible safety webbing,
